The Tower by CatalinPrecup The Tower by CatalinPrecup
-acrylic on canvas, 100x80 cm-

"The Tower" retakes and reverses the idea of a futile Babylonian construction in a monstrous symbol of detention, imprisonment, torture and death, emphasizing its absurdity and dehumanization.
A tower that has no name, no identity, with uniform walls, without windows, a deserted city as a nightmarish mise en scène, vestige of memory.

I like how the rest of the place is deserted. It's like you build a tower, but no one comes. It's for nothing, basically.
I'm not sure that I got the other themes you mentioned, but it's still a great work.

Yes, because the memories are empty. It's a tower built in vain.
Thanks for the comment!

I really like this.  Too many good things to say about it.
